ABOUT US
Sirius Automation Limited was originally set up in 1998 by Arthur Clarke to provide electrical engineering and control systems design to New Zealands industrial base.
However, concerns about the varroa destructor mite and the effect on the New Zealand bee population lead Arthur to pursue an avenue of treatment away from the more traditional means of toxins, strips and sprays. An electrical solution perhaps?
By combining electrical heating and a brood frame together as a non-toxic mite treatment, MiteZapper® was the ideal solution. With some negotiation, New Zealand distributorship was secured and Sirius B Mite Control was born.
